The Motus Education Program - A versatile set of educational materials designed and developed by Birds Canada for grades 7-12. Provides interactive lessons that can be applied to a variety of curricula with a focus on building foundational knowledge about birds, migration, and conservation, and utilizing the Motus tracking tools to foster project and inquiry-based learning.

Pennsylvania Bird Conservation Learning Module - Explore a complete learning module that incorporates activities from the Motus Education Program and puts a spotlight on the Wood thrush, a Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN) in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

  • Wood Thrush Case Study - This activity is modeled after the Motus Education Program Case Study activities and highlights projects in Pennsylvania and Nicaragua that have studied this Species of Greatest Conservation Need.

  • Case Study Template - This document follows the format of the Motus Education Program’s case studies and can help users draft a case study on any species studied within the Motus network.
